My Journey: From Surgeon to Transformational Coach

Hi, I’m Dr. Anu – a transformational coach and doctor blending nearly three decades of experience across surgery, general practice, digital health, neuroscience, and integrative wellbeing.

I love helping people create meaningful, lasting change in their lives – whether that’s breaking through internal blocks, building resilience, or simply feeling more aligned and energised every day. My own personal and professional journey has taken me from the operating theatre to coaching rooms and tech boardrooms – all fuelled by a lifelong passion for the science (and art) of living well.

Today, I guide clients through simple, practical, and proven approaches for rapid and sustainable transformation – rooted in science, shaped by real-world insights, and delivered with warmth, clarity and care.

3 Pillars of Living Well

In my work, we often focus on one or more of these three interconnected areas:

1 – Freeing inner blocks and achieving meaningful goals
2 – Building lasting resilience – emotional, mental, physical, and energetic
3 – Optimising wellbeing through science-backed, whole-person methods

These pillars often overlap – especially when we’re navigating uncertainty, seeking clarity, or ready to expand what we believe is possible.

Strong Foundations in Medicine & Neuroscience

My medical journey began at Guy’s, King’s & St Thomas’ Medical School, where I combined medical training with a BSc in Neuroscience. My fascination with neuroanatomy and the human mind led to further specialisation in ENT, Skull Base Surgery, and Neurosurgery, where I served patients both through skill and compassion.

Alongside clinical work, I taught anatomy and physiology at King’s College – sharing knowledge with future doctors, dentists, and physiotherapists. While I loved the hands-on nature of surgery, my desire for deeper connection and continuity of care led me to become a GP, where I could build long-term, meaningful relationships in the community.

Bridging Innovation, Wellness & Private Practice

In central London, I ran a private GP practice that deepened my understanding of integrative wellness – blending traditional care with new innovations. I also became a trusted advisor for health-tech companies and start-ups, helping to bring digital tools, AI-powered solutions and data-driven insights into patient care.

This work showed me how technology can empower people to take charge of their health and wellbeing – not as a replacement, but as a powerful complement to human connection, insight and optimising health.

Awakening, Intuition & Alternative Medicine

Like many, my most profound insights came through personal transformation. A deep spiritual awakening opened me to non-traditional forms of healing – including energy work and intuitive practices to plant medicine and consciousness-based approaches. These experiences helped me understand health, growth, and purpose through a wider lens. They also taught me that every challenge carries within it the seed of a gift. As the saying goes, “Diamonds are formed under pressure”. I believe there’s a diamond in each of us – waiting to be uncovered and polished until it shines.
